Sucked to be the baker…

Posted by Philip Harvey in Uncategorized  Tagged Genesis 39-41

I thought the reflection was cool.  Reading about how centred Joseph’s life was on God reminds me of a conversation a mate and I had about Peter walking on the water.  That he wasn’t walking on the water necessarily because of his faith, but because he was in full relationship with God.  He started sinking when the full relationship broke.  Perhaps this is how Joseph is portrayed as living his life, in full relationship with God.

That’s an excellent point. It does seem that Joseph was in full relationship with God because he seems to trust that everything that happens is somehow for good. I am sure he didn’t understand why he had to go through so much yuck but somehow because of his relationship with God, he kept trusting, working hard and serving others.

    Yeah, the poor baker . . .
