The Vast Array
“The heavens and the earth were finished, and all their vast array.” (Gen 2:1)
God created the vastness of the heavens, which expand beyond our comprehension. He lit billions of stars, clustered them into galaxies, and tossed them into the deep darkness, painting it with fiery colors.
But this “vast array” isn’t limited to the heavens, but the earth as well, and the infinite expansion seen in the vastness of space is not greater than the infinite depth we see in the “dust of the earth.” The infinity of fiery stars we see looking into the telescope appears again when looking into the microscope; as we search deeper and deeper, discovering the cellular and the atomic and the subatomic.
God creates in all directions.

Good thoughts! We can even expand it beyond the galaxies and the atomic matter to intangible things such as personality traits or unique characteristics of language. We can think of all the different types of people in the world and how they act, the things they do and how each are created in God’s image – thus, He created even the humorous things we love about our friends or the endearing things we love about children.
God is amazing.
