what? no mutated babies?

Posted by feebs in Uncategorized  Tagged Genesis 1-2

as a science student, the bizarreness of Eve being made out of Adam’s rib, thus having the same genetic structure (no wonder there was no rejection of the tissue transplant!) and then managing to procreate and produce perfectly “normal” kids (unlike what would happen if i made babies with my brother) is just amazing! and confusing. I’ve kind of come to the conclusion that since Adam was the first human, made in God’s image, there were no micro-mutations of DNA or chromosomes that would cause autosomal dominant or recessive or X-linked diseases in Adam and Eve’s children.  But still..i wonder, did God make some more people after Adam and Eve to create a sufficiently heterogenous genetic pool? or did Adam and Eve have kids who all married each other?   What do you think?

check out this link about Cains wife/ close relative and how this would not have led to genetic mutation. Theres also a mind boggling statement about the timing that L:eviticus 18 was given to Moses.
